Each property's score is the mean of every individual guest review score given to that property, on Booking.com's 10-point scale. To rank fairly, we only considered properties with a meaningful sample of 40+ reviews for the national list and 30+ reviews for the regional list — a single gushing review is not a ranking. Higher-review-count properties carry more weight in the "consistently loved" metric.
A caveat: scores measure the experience guests actually reported, which skews toward value and hospitality rather than facilities. A 9.9 guesthouse is not more "luxurious" than a 9.0 resort — it simply delighted its guests more. If you want guaranteed quality at any price point, this list is the honest equivalent of "best value & best loved," and we flag the luxury stand-outs separately.
