Lost or Stolen Passport

  1. File a police report at the nearest station. Call 119 or 1912 (tourist police).
  2. Contact your embassy for an emergency travel document. Most embassies in Colombo can issue an emergency passport within 24–48 hours.
  3. You'll need a copy of your passport (keep a photo on your phone).
